Adapter M to R #14167

That one is for the use of Visoflex lenses on the SL or any other R mount camera. Normal M lenses will not focus to infinity with normal M lenses: macro only. I do use the lens head of my TE 135 on the Universalschnecke and this adapter on my DMR, but it is not very practical.

I use this one occasionally on my R8, as well as a Cameraquest one (on my Nikon DSLR), principally to shoot with my Elmarit 90/2.8, Tele Elmar 135/4, and when I still owned it the Elmar 65/3.5 lensheads, and of course the Telyt gear for the M. Metering is stopped down, everything manual here, including diaphragm, so not a convenient as an R lens. This adapter is for lensheads in the proper focusing mount for use on the Visoflex...so you don't get infinity focus with the normal stuff (below 65mm). You can still use them, but it will have the effect of using extension tubes on them and you will be VERY near the object you are focusing on.

However, if you get a #22228 M to R adapter, (M=body, R = lens) you can use your R lenses on an M body, including the shift lenses! Zone focus only, and shut down metering, of course.

I wonder if, with this, has anyone ever tried a Super Elmar 15 onto a M...apart the results, it must be a nice combo to see... I suspect that any finder you mount, the lens would obstrude a great part of it...
