PasMichiel Posted June 22, 2010 Share #42 Posted June 22, 2010 It would be nice if you could come. Most welcome! Meeting around 12 noon and the 1:30 talk should last around 1 hour. There is another talk scheduled after that, but attendance is definitely not compulsory! It's all informal and up to you. If you want directions etc. especially from City Airport then PM me. Thx Brian. I think I can manage. I even have navigation on my mobile for it.

farnz Posted June 27, 2010 Share #51 Posted June 27, 2010 For anyone planning to use the Bakerloo line to get to the IWM please note that "severe delays" are currently occurring owing to a signal failure at Piccadilly Circus. I expect (hope?) this will be cleared by mid-morning but it would be a good idea to check here before setting off. Pete.

farnz Posted June 28, 2010 Share #59 Posted June 28, 2010 It was very rewarding that Frank Dabba Smith showed photos of the documents that prove how much Ernst Leitz did at enormous personal risk to help Jews evade Nazi persecution. Humbling. Like others I expect, I'd heard the stories but to see the hard evidence and to be talked through it so expertly by Frank Dabba Smith really brought home the reality to me. Likewise, my profound thanks to Ivor, Brian, and Frank at not least the Imperial War Museum. Pete.
lanetomlane Posted June 29, 2010 Share #60 Posted June 29, 2010 I originally posted this under People but guess it should be here with the rest of the bunch. May appear a little light as posting from the uncalibrated office laptop. Thanks to all for a great day. ________________________________ Regards, Tom Welcome, dear visitor!
