lars_bergquist Posted March 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I decided on the advice of some friends here to reset my M9 after having loaded the new firmware 1.116, and make new settings. I find however that the following menu items are now blackened and cannot be accessed: Resolution (Set menu) Sharpening (Basic menu) Color saturation (ditto) Contrast (ditto) Color management (ditto) What has happened? I continue my investigation but would be happy to have a helping hand here. The old man from the Age B.B. (Before Buttons)

yanidel Posted March 18, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2010 You probably have set dng only as file format. These sliders only work when JPG are generated.
ArtZ Posted March 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 18, 2010 The old man from the Age B.B. (Before Buttons) For a moment I thought you meant "The old man from the Age of Brigitte Bardot" Lars, have you tried to reload the firmware to the camera again? vanhulsenbeek Posted March 18, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 18, 2010 For a moment I thought you meant "The old man from the Age of Brigitte Bardot" Lars, have you tried to reload the firmware to the camera again? Don't! Yanidel has the right answer. When you shoot only in DNG all items you mention must be set in post.
jaapv Posted March 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 18, 2010 The camera has reset itself to S mode.
lars_bergquist Posted March 18, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted March 18, 2010 Thanks, folks. Yanidel was right. Everything OK now. This evening I'll see if this has alleviated the rededge phenomenon for my 18mm Distagon.
