stephengilbert Posted March 14, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 14, 2010 +1 I don't know about the while you wait part, but they adjusted the RF in my M8 and did a good job. Nice people, too.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted March 14, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 14, 2010 Actually Steve have saved my behind more than once, he is a great guy to work with and I can highly recommend the cafe across the street for waiting. Naturally on the next block is Samys camera, so it should be possible to pass the time one way or another. .
Overgaard Posted March 16, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted March 16, 2010 Thanks for this. I was at Steve's today and it was the whole prism that was moved. So he'll be needing more than a short moment to fix it why it will wait a few days before he gets it in. But extremely competent fellow I must say. Overgaard Posted March 16, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted March 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Most probably because it hit the floor or something. It did a couple of times. According to Steve M4, M6 and others can get misplaced prisms due to that in which case they must be adjusted and glued back on. In this case you can observe that you can't reach infinity with any lens, and so the focus is out mainly on long focal lengths, whereas with a 50/2 (with its reasonable depth of field) you won't really notice on normal 1, 2 and 3 meter distances. Acutually not with the 50/1.4 either. But with a 90/2 or any other lens on infinity you will notice it quite clearly that the infinity is neither sharp in the finder or in the image.
