ChiILX1 Posted July 11, 2010 Share #21 Posted July 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Isn't there a non-destructive way to do this by taking a couple tiny dots of super glue and gluing on a little half-eyelit to the lens cap, then tying a string from there to the keyring the strap comes with? Advertisement Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Hi ChiILX1, Take a look here Lost my lens cap ...!!!!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
davidhunternyc Posted July 11, 2010 Share #22 Posted July 11, 2010 The solution I would like to see is a lens cap like the Ricoh LC1 auto lens cap which eliminates the dangling lens cap while shooting annoyances and eliminates the hassle of taking off and putting on the lens cap so often and possibly losing it. Awesome! Leica, do you see this? Better yet, I think how the lens disappears inside my C-Lux 1 is still a better option.
RichardM8 Posted July 11, 2010 Share #23 Posted July 11, 2010 Use a good case like the brown leather case from Leica and throw the lens cap as far away as you can. The best solution...
Nicoleica Posted July 11, 2010 Share #24 Posted July 11, 2010 Rather than cutting holes in your cap and/or camera, why not use something like the 'Cap Keeper'? These have been around for decades, and can be easily found at most camera stores. There seem to be numerous versions of these available, and some cost under $2. For example: Lens Cap Keeper Or http://www.simaproducts.com/products/product_detail.php?product_id=
Guest MartinMann Posted July 11, 2010 Share #25 Posted July 11, 2010 Well, if the adhesive is strong enough and lasts long to hold it in place, then its a very good hint. Thank you.
Guest MartinMann Posted July 11, 2010 Share #26 Posted July 11, 2010 Use a good case like the brown leather case from Leica and throw the lens cap as far away as you can. The best solution... Good hint too, but as far as I know, does it not fit with a mounted finder?
RichardM8 Posted July 11, 2010 Share #27 Posted July 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) No. Both the brown leather and 'ever ready' cases don't hold the camera with a VF. Amazing but true.
