The photographs shown below are the ones that have been selected for the book. The title may be a little different from the one you submitted, that is likely due to either my software misinterpreting German characters with umlauts, or the fact that I added a bit of text to those photographers who wanted to remain anonymous and/or not have their photographs displayed on a public website.

If your photograph isn't there you have my commiserations, but remember you have contributed to a very good cause.

If you see your photograph below please, please, please don't send a full sized version to me as I am not the person assembling the book. I will shortly be sending you an email containing full details of what you need to do next.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed, and congratulations to those who have been selected.

Doug, yes that's my intention.

The problem isn't in creating the website, that's easy using Lightroom, the thing that will take the time is adding all the personal information to the photographs - photographer, equipment used etc. - so I have to ask that everyone be patient.

Tomorrow I have to sent out 140+ emails with the final submission details, that will take a while.

Can I just publicly thank Steve Unsworth for taking on this duty? Sending out 140+ individual emails, each of which includes the title of the photograph is no mean feat.

So, "Thanks Steve"

:)

I have copied this thread to several sub-sections, since I know that there are some members who only ever visit one sub-section and not the whole Forum.

Well, this was very fast work and I would like to give my best thanks to the project team for dedicating their time to make this book happen. Projects like the LUF book make this forum an outstanding site.

My congratulations to everyone chosen to represent our forum's work. :)

A huge DITTO from me on that!

All done, everyone should have received an email. If you haven't let me know.

There was one problem with someone who has his spam filter set up to only accept emails from people in his address book. Hopefully he'll have received an email from his ISP explaining what I'm trying to do.

I set up the googlemail account that is receiving the submissions, so I can see them coming through this afternoon.

Can I please remind everyone who has the email that it's the HIGH RESOLUTION version of the photograph that is now required. Edit: So far (19:07 on 07/03/10) there have been two images sent through which are not of sufficient size to be printed at the quality needed for the book. Please check the instructions included within Steve's email to you very carefully so that we can make the book of the highest quality.

Many thanks

You can see the photographs that are going to appear in the book here...

Leica Forum Book - Main Page

There are a few missing. In some cases the photographer requested that their photograph not be shown on the web.

There are no names or technical details yet. To be honest I've spent about 6 hours on the book today and don't have time to update the pages with the relevant information. I'll try to do that next weekend.

Enjoy the photography!

Certainly Steve has been a driving force and deserves accolades for his tireless rounding up of editors and others. Well done Steve! Thank you.

A question regarding submissions. What colour space should they be in for printing the book? sRGB or Adobe RGB? I think it is important to get that standardized and correct.
