AlbertoDeRoma Posted December 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Many of the reviews of the D-Lux 4 mention that's too easy to accidentally move the "wheel" that selects between auto, aperture, shutter, scene, etc. Yesterday, my wife and I went for a tour of a lighthouse in Big Sur, California. I carried the Digilux 2 and she the D-Lux 4. She accidentally moved the wheel to "SCN" mode which was set to "pin-hole" and took a number of shots with that. As it turns out, those shots were the real keepers - they had a beautiful timeless/vintage quality to them and captured the light/mood perfectly. Below is an example. clinchico Posted December 31, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 31, 2009 It sure is a little marvel of a camera as I have been finding out since I purchased my D-Lux 4 back in September. It is a Marvel especially in low light. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! You inspired me to go out and shoot a few in the next few evenings. Alberto

SiOnara Posted January 1, 2010 Share #12 Posted January 1, 2010 Actually the two modes I most use on my D-Lux 4 are the Dynamin B&W and the Pinhole. Sometimes the pinhole is just perfect for adding something intriguing. It can turn the most mundane shot into something timeless.....

shazrul Posted January 11, 2010 Share #16 Posted January 11, 2010 Here's one of my very first few pics with the Dlux4. It was 2am and I was still experimenting with the different modes! This one's taken using the pinhole setting.
carylwithay Posted January 18, 2010 Share #17 Posted January 18, 2010 Good shot. I just bought an excellent book on the DLux 4 by Alenxander White. The BW version is only $20 and I have been reading it cover to cover. it is that good and full of info. It really tells you about the camera way beyond the manual.
