Buenos Aires D-Lux 2

Hi Claudio,

A picture of what seems to me to be a typical, slightly droll Buenos Aires situation, presumably taken in La Recoletta?

To the picture: the colour of his face seem slightly strange, as if handpainted. In my opinion your picture somehow does

not present a unified composition. Your protagonists head melts too much into the background, and the fleeting lines

throughout the picture do not support his position. Do you have other views of him?

Kind regards, C.

HI Christoph!

It forgives my English!

This photo was made in the cemetary of the Recoleta. It is truth. You it made right! Unhappyly I do not have another one. Later that I photographed it raised and was even so. It is a strange type, very clearly, static, seemed a ghost. I made the photo accurately therefore! I applied only one fast sharp and Digital Gem.

Thanks!

Hi Claudio,

I have been visiting Buenos Aires a few times - a fascinating city. The graveyard of la Recoletta remains a very strange

and interesting place posessed by it's very own morbid atmosphere and populated by ghosts of the past- and you've

captured one nice facet of that.

Kind regards, C.

PS: Your English - seems so much better than my Spanish!

PSS: For your interest, earlier this year I posted some of my views of La Recoletta in the German forum, which you

might find here: http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landschaft-reise/5847-la-recoletta-i.html

Claudio, Thanks for sharing. I can read a lot of different thoughts into this image, gets the mind to thinking.

One example, with the religious undertones (or overtones?) and the posture of the person, it makes me wonder whether the music suddenly brought him back to life or whether it is hypnotic.

I could also see this as an arresting image for certain targeted advertising work.

Claudio -

Not only in the Recoleta, but specifically behind la Iglesia del Pilar. There is a supernatural quality to this shot, as though the man sitting there is a painted statue, perhaps part of one of the tombs. excellent subtle light and colors, excellent details and textures. Your signature in this one is less intrusive than in the BA-3 shot, but I'd still like to see the signature smaller, and MAYBE in the lower left corner.
