M9 in my very hands - didn't take it home

I had been waiting for my black M9 for 2 months when my dealer called this morning telling me, he had a grey M9 waiting for me. So I rushed to the store figuring I wouldn't care much about the color. I was wrong.

I didn't like the grey, didn't like the leather and so I sighed, put it back in the box and decided to wait a little longer. Hope it won't be too long.

If only we could have traded.... I wanted grey, but they emailed and said they'd have a black one next week for me, or I could wait another 1-3 months for a grey. I flipped a coin, grey won. I took the black one anyway

I hope I don't upset anyone by saying this, but when I go to a hardware shop and buy a hammer, I don't much care what colour it is, so long as it does the job. I have to admit to preferring silver Ms, but it's the photographs they help me create that I care about so black, silver wouldn't matter much to me.

But if your hammer cost as much as a good used car, you might care a little more! :D

Maybe the Forum should set up an M9 exchange thread, where one person who got a camera - but the wrong color, can swap with another person who also got a camera - of the "other" wrong color.

Sort of like we did swapping IR filters a couple of years ago.

GREY SHMAE!! GIVE ME CHROME!!!

In all seriousness, the M9 would be incredibly beautiful in real chrome with the classic leather like I have on my M6. Hell, while we are at it, why not offer one that looks like the MP!

Grey paint is something that is trying to be chrome but it is not!

For that kind of money - NO COMPROMISE !

But I must admit that if I was a pro, and needed the camera to support my business - I really would not care for color. Only functions and ability to work would be my primary decisions-factor, second - look nice / love factors

... but told my dealer I would take any colour, and I ended up with black.

same to me...

For me it was quite impossible to say, which one I prefer (at the end it was black :))

But to be honest - if it would exist - the black one without leather would be my choice (the way my M8 was)
