Advertisement Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Hi jmr, Take a look here Christ Church and the Neighbours. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
azzo Posted December 5, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 5, 2006 Very well seen and nicely caught John. Light and composition wise..fantastic. Best Azzo
jmr Posted December 5, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 5, 2006 Azzo, thanks for that. I must have walked past the Church on that particular path many times and thought the view unpromising. Today the light was good so I took the shot - glad you like the result.
stuny Posted December 5, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 5, 2006 John - Terrific tones, shadows and composition. Interestingly, the angle and shadows on the church make it seem spookier than do the head stones. Makes me think of the Bates home behind the Bates Motel, in the original Psycho film. jmr Posted December 5, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted December 5, 2006 Stuart, yes, I see what you mean; not sure the Vicar would appreciate the implication though
martinop Posted December 6, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 6, 2006 Like the shot angle and the placement of the church within the frame. The other compostional elements fit very well..

samwells Posted December 6, 2006 Share #8 Posted December 6, 2006 Yes, wonderful light, lovely shot. And interesting how the angle of the clouds is cooperating with the angle of the church roof...thanx for showing. cheers: Sam
ECliffordSmith Posted December 6, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 6, 2006 John, I think the B&W really suited this shot. The lighting is perfect.
