M8 or M8.2 price increase Jan 1?

Does anyone know if Leica will increase the prices as of Jan1st in Europe of these cameras?

I realize they are not in production anymore, but many premier dealers in Netherlands still have them in stock. Brand new.

Any thoughts?

Surely that would be down to the individual dealer and not Leica as they no longer manufacture the camera, but if the NL is the same as the UK so many dealers are selling what new stock they have left at a special price (I've seen as low as £2250) I highly doubt they would further inflate the price come Jan 1st but who knows?

My local dealer (in U.S.) offered to sell me a second M8.2 at his acquired cost. His supply and cost leverage improves the more product he sells, so it was better for him to sell at no profit than to be stuck with the camera, especially with M9s in production.

 

Unfortunately, his cost wasn't low enough for me to jump, but he was able to move it elsewhere.

I think they will given the VAT thing.

The price will not go up imo, rather down as more M9s become available. VAT increase is only in the UK.

Leica does not care anymore of M8 - 8.2 prices... the items still on the market are priced freely by dealers (my local dealer has a pair of) : do not see any reason for their street prices would go upside.
