carlosecpf Posted December 17, 2009 Author Share #21 Posted December 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks very nice... but I would never use this camera (yep, I said it). I was afraid of not using it, but it just lasted for the first hour or so! I am taking it with me everywhere I go just like I use to do before. What is the point of having a nice camera if you don't use it after all?
Advertisement Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Hi carlosecpf, Take a look here She is back. She is in leather. I am in love! (D2). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
redbaron Posted December 17, 2009 Share #22 Posted December 17, 2009 Please don't anthropomorphise your cameras. They hate it when we do that!
carlosecpf Posted December 17, 2009 Author Share #23 Posted December 17, 2009 Please don't anthropomorphise your cameras. They hate it when we do that! I guess I got a little emotional after getting my camera back after 2 months without shooting with it. Now everything is back to normal! But still think it looks great! carlosecpf Posted December 17, 2009 Author Share #26 Posted December 17, 2009 Now you've got me thinking about doing up another one... still got an itch to do a red one. Do you have 3 D2 + 1 LC1? Don't think twice! Do it!
John Thawley Posted December 17, 2009 Share #27 Posted December 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Do you have 3 D2 + 1 LC1? Yes. Unfortunately, he won't do the DMC LC1 because of the built-in grip and other changes in the body shape. I'd love to do something with the LC1. jsrockit Posted December 17, 2009 Share #28 Posted December 17, 2009 I was afraid of not using it, but it just lasted for the first hour or so! I am taking it with me everywhere I go just like I use to do before. What is the point of having a nice camera if you don't use it after all? No, I mean...I like the look of your camera, but the Digilux 2 is not my style of camera, so I'd never use it. Yours is beautiful though.

krabat Posted December 17, 2009 Share #30 Posted December 17, 2009 The D2 looks really good. I personally would also find Jaguar racing green attractive...
jrethorst Posted December 17, 2009 Share #31 Posted December 17, 2009 She's a quite the looker. I feel your excitement. Approximately, much did she cost if you don't mind answering privately? I emailed Morgan, who quoted $65 for the D2 plus the cost of the kit, i.e. the choice of leather as on his web site, which ranges from $10 to $76. I think I'll choose the kid leather, at $40. I asked what a good time would be to send it in, in terms of turnaround time, and he said after the first week in January. Carlos, that's a beautiful camera. Can't believe how I feel about them.
carlosecpf Posted December 17, 2009 Author Share #33 Posted December 17, 2009 What a crazy camera. Can't believe how I feel about them. It is the same here. I can't believe in this neither. I have 2 D2 and 1 LC1. My girlfriend thinks I am crazy.

h00ligan Posted January 13, 2010 Share #35 Posted January 13, 2010 Gorgeous, I teeter back and forth on trying to buy one, which is expensive for the 'technology'. But the cam has SOOO much personality in look (and also judging by the images made, in capture) - aligned with panny or not - this looks like a Leica of old. I bet you get a bunch of comments given the current trend of high contrast plastics. simply beautiful. end thread resurrection.

Edward, You've written elsewhere about your unhappiness with the way that the D-Lux 4 sits in your hands so, since the D2 is physically larger than the D-Lux 4 and aperture, zoom and focus are controlled by rings on the lens barrel, it might also provide the tactile solution you're searching for. There's 'something' about the D2 that isn't obvious until it is picked up and handled that puts it far ahead of any p&s - quite apart from image quality, features etc imho. If you can find a way to at least handle a D2 I think your mind will be made up fairly quickly. Pete.
