Contrary for my earlier post about a city visit, for multi-day hiking in the hills, I will take:

M9

21/2.8 ZM

40/2 rokkor CLE

90/2.8 elmarit-M

spare card and battery, gorillapod, lens cloth, every-ready case, dry bag.

21-40-90 is very good. All are flare resistant, high contrast, and resolve very well. They are each a nice compromise between speed and size.

50 mm, 80 mm & 150 mm Zeiss Hasselblad lenses with hoods

polarising, yellow, orange & red filters

Grey cards

Ton of slide & B&W film

Tripod

That's quite some weight loss

- My credit card

- Second credit card as backup

- M9P with 35mm/1.4

- 4 cards of 8 and 16 GB

- Charger

Never carry both camera and credit card in the same bag. If you lose camera you can use credit card to buy. If you lose credit card, you have instant credit with your camera.

Err... Charger? I’m sure you’ll find a socket somewhere.

Yup, I'll take a charger for pub/car, but it will stay in the car while we hike and will probably never get used. I am an absolute miser when it comes to battery usage. I switch my camera OFF after each shot, and I don't review images beyond an occasional histogram check.

But I did forget to mention my essential filters:

- polarisier.

- R72 visible light cut, IR transmissive.

Before M9-P arrived 2 weeks ago, I had:

- M8.2 black paint

- CV 15mm LTM with adapter - truly a marvel lens with super sharp and contrasty images

- 28mm Cron ASPH

- 50mm Lux Pre

M8.2 may be sold, now likely be:

- M9-P chrome

- 28mm Cron ASPH

- 35mm Cron IV

- 50mm Lux Pre

Heavier now due to 28mm replacing super light 15mm, thinking of adding 21mm.

m9, 15 voigt, 28 perar, 50 lux, 2 batteries+charger... if traveling to places where buying a backup camera on the spot is not possible, i'll also bring a m6 into the luggage case with a few rolls of film in case the m9 breaks during traveling.

M2

Sekonic L-398A H/held light meter

Cron 50 f/2 DR

CV 35 f/2.5

CV 21 f/4

Elmar 90 f/4

As a back up camera and something to carry around at night or in dangerous neighbourhoods, an Olympus XA

Pretty much my standard travel kit which fits into my tiny Think Tank retrospective 5 bag like a treat.

Oh, and loads of film! :-)
