I've finished the post-processing of the pictures of the way to Sant James. I've selected two hundred images. I had some problems using Zenfolio because it changes a bit the colours encreasing the saturation of some images. In some of the pictures I had to change the saturation of the file because the difference was to high. Anyway I hope you like them and you can imagine how was my experience. I know 200 are too many, but in 30 days and in about 750 km the amount of scenery and characters are many as well.

I recomend to use the slideshow. Zenfolio has improved it and one can view the pictures much better.

Congratulations, Miguel. I do hope you have recovered from such an arduous walk. What an accomplished walker and raconteur! Were you camping overnight or did you find accommodation at each day end?

Sorry, David

I did not realize of your post and your question.

When you do the way to Sant James you have to get a credential. This one allow you to sleep the hostels which are along the way. They are very cheap and most of them nice. Normally are big rooms with a lot of beds and one have to sleep in the same room with more pilgrims. This is part of the way and you meet many people during the way. In each hostels one get a mark on the credential. When you finish the way, you get a certificate (Compostelana) of you way from church of Santiago.

Miguel--

They're great!

You show the beauty and the pain, and the need to get up and go on. What a wonderful pilgrimage.

Thanks for the physical effort, and for the psychological effort to sequence the images so well for us.

Congratulations!

I don't think 200 was too many! I watched the complete slide show and enjoyed it enormously. You give such a good impression of the variety of countryside, the other pilgrims, local people and, above all, of the feat of endurance in completing the pilgrimage. The photos work really well as a set and there are some outstanding individual images. Have you thought of producing a book, through Blurb for example?

Congratulations on the pilgrimage and the photos!

Andrew

Enhorabuena, Miguel. Magníficas fotos, como siempre. A mi me gusta en especial la 174 porque me parece un magnífico retrato de la Galicia interior. Muchas gracias por ese camino que has hecho del que todos ahora disfrutamos con tus fotos. Un abrazo. S.

Congratulations! The best photos for the best way.

Miguel,

Thanks for sharing. What impresses me is the intensity of your experience which comes through in the pictures, the people, the moods, the colors, the landscapes, and changing weather conditions with magnificent lighting. I am sure I will go back to these images from time to time for inspiration and enjoyment.

With best regards from Nuevo México where El Santuario de Chimayó has been called "no doubt the most important Catholic pilgrimage center in the United States.", reference here: El Santuario de Chimayo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It's just about an hour by car from where I live. Before Easter, some people around here, walk in sections may be up to a hundred miles, from as far as Albuquerque to Chimayó.

Thanks again, k-hawinkler
