Nikon SB-80DX - eBay.....

Works beautifully.....

You can set the following to what ever you require for the shoot:

~ ISO

~ Lens (Eg: 35mm, etc.)

~ Aperture

And as the flash does the exposure monitoring bounce works as well.

Highly recommend for the M8/8.2…..

Thanks for the info. One question. Can I just plug it straight on the M8?? or do I need a adaptor for the hotshoe?

I am looking to get a flash unit for M8 and I don't feel like spending that much on a SF 58 or SF-24 for that matter.

Can I used those third party flash such as Nissin, Metz that is designed for Canon/Nikon/Olympus?

Any advise please~

You could use various Metz flashes with the appropriate SCA adapter, and still retain TTL flash control. :)

Cool, one more thing to ask, will any of the Canon work too?

Not any Canon. You'll need flash that is capable of manual settings. The 420EX for example will always fire at full. I have used my 550EX set to manual and used a hand flash meter to determined exposure and dialed back the power on the 550EX. THe new 580EX II has a auto sensor on it (similar to the autothrystors of older flashes). I would imagine it would work but I cannot confirm.
