Used M9? Unbelievable!

Chap with zero feedback, item already bid to USD1100 above MSRP, claims he's selling a decent-looking black M9 to finance a sickly gray one?? Something is fishy. I suspect a bogus listing and shill bidding (or stupid people who think the 2 lenses are included). But I could be wrong. There are some people who buy Leicas who have a completely different set of ideals of normalcy than the rest of the photographic world.

I asked him if the lenses are included. We'll see what he says. I just can't believe how many suckers and or those with money to blow/

Have you already calculated the odds of this auction going seriously wrong and Murphy's Law hitting the buyer? ;-)

Best regards,

Michael

I asked him if the lenses are included and he said no BUT he did not clarify this on his auction. I think he had a BIN for $7600. If it's legit, he must be very happy!

And if it's not legit, I bet he's even happier ;)

It must really be nice to be so rich and so cavalier about your money that you'd pay several thousand over retail just to get your hands on a camera now rather than wait a few months, knowing that from there on it won't be worth more than any other M9.

...no big deal - sold my M9 (albeit not on eBay) after 3 days use :). Used M9s are believable and, for the record, I am in no way affiliated to this transaction.

My colleague who lent me his M9 for a week, has also sold his already and gone back to his M8s. But he sold it for the same retail price he paid. Already that's doing very well on a camera that was used professionally, with several thousand actuations in a short time.

...just to qualify my previous post - I did not sell for a profit or a loss. It is a decent camera, but just was not right for me.
