Nice shot..you can see the DMR's great latitude in this shot, its sooo bright, with say my Fuji Provia 100, those hightlights would have been blown , same with any lesser digital system.

Many times I find myself saying, if only you had one of those "balloon backpacks"..that would raise you just 15 to 20ft off the ground..then you'd get many "perfect shots" :)

Thanks for your post.

Thank you, JR. I would love one of those balloon backpacks ... except that I would need one heck of a tripod. :)

LOL.. well how about using a mono pod strapped to your local tree, you see we have an eagles nest just down the road, really the best shots would be from the tree across form the nest, not too close, but not too far.....but a perfectly horizontal plane makes for the perfect shot, you have to "balloon " up there in the evening and make a blind.

So I will qualify, balloon backpack..with telephone pole or tree "mono pod":D

By the way, just so you know, we do have a local photographer who takes photos using this device,in fact that's all he specializes in...and the results a super, mind you they are mostly landscape shots...so of course hand-held and in good light conditions.

Cheers, JRM
