ArtZ Posted October 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2009 Because of an eyesight problem I will have to put my left eye to the viewfinder on the M9 which I hope to get, is this just as easy to do as useing the right eye. Even if I use both eyes on my M8s, I use more often the left eye... because IMHO it's easier as you don't need to close your right eye because the camera hides the seight. stunsworth Posted October 29, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 29, 2009 Yes. I also use my left eye. Your nose will probably leave a greasy mark on the rear LCD, but that wipes off easily.
aesop Posted October 29, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2009 ....shouldn't be an issue with Ms - I have been left-eye dominant all my life.
Overgaard Posted October 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 29, 2009 Not a problem, you won't even think about it as it feels natural to do so.
JeffreyTotaro Posted October 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 29, 2009 I'm left eye dominant too. I think it makes the camera less obvious as it sits more in front of your face and not off to the right side of your head. For me since I can keep my right eye open I have much less eye strain when using the camera for a long period of time.
andybarton Posted October 29, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Left eye shooter here too. Never had a problem with any of the cameras I have used.

B&W Posted October 29, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 29, 2009 Yes. I also use my left eye. Your nose will probably leave a greasy mark on the rear LCD, but that wipes off easily. So that why my LCD always has greasy mark:p I'm left eye shooter as well - it works ok for me
vdb Posted October 29, 2009 Share #10 Posted October 29, 2009 Me too...left eyed and have used M's 25 yrs. I've tried to convert to my right eye, so that I could benefir from seeing outside of the viewfinder...but can't make it stick. Get a good screen protector. jlancasterd Posted October 29, 2009 Share #11 Posted October 29, 2009 I'm a left eye shooter too - and I don't really care about the nose grease on the monitor screen as I've covered it with DigiCover film from Robert White. It cost around £10 ($16) including postage. The grease wipes off easily and I have no worries about scratches.
