dealrocker Posted October 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) My friend is selling a Leica Digilux 2 and I am pretty interested to buy it. Looking forward to hear Leica Digilux 2 owners views and their experiences with this camera. If anyone owns, ever tried or has input to give me on how this camera produces outdoor portraits, please share. Thanks in advance.
Advertisement Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Hi dealrocker, Take a look here Does Leica Digilux 2 take good outdoor portraits?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Overgaard Posted October 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2009 You can read about the camera and a few hints here: leica.overgaard.dk - Thorsten Overgaard's Leica Sites - Leica Digilux 2 sample photos and tests (as well as Panasonic DMC-LC1) - Page 1 of 3 It's pretty great for portraits and outdoor portraits. I would recommend buying a smalller silver/gold reflector if it is something you want to do a lot (you use the reflector to reflect light into the eyes and under the nose - so to say - so as to make the person look bright and alive. Something about it here by the way: leica.overgaard.dk - Thorsten Overgaard's Leica Pages - The Quality of Light [ARRI lamps, Kino Flo, flood lights, reflectors and available light] - page 1 of 5 Ups, there was a lot of reading and homework to do but it's a great camera and should basically cost a lot more than they do. martinvath Posted October 28, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2009 I think it is very good at outdoor portraits. If You keep a good distance to the background it just melts away at 90mm/2.4. In my first sample the model is holding a pice og white paper in her hands to reflect the light a little. Be ware that the lens is very sharp and all wrinkles and so will easily show;-) Kind regards Martin
