stuny Posted October 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2009 Andreas - In most places flamingoes are very shy and keep 500 meters away from humans. Where was this and what did you use? Excellent for subject, composition, light, color and detail.
leicamann Posted October 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2009 love the color...since there is an available patch of green on the background pond.. I would hav either walked until there was just green and the you woul have had this marvelous contrast play between the red and the green in pure tones. Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM

Mokkacream Posted October 28, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted October 28, 2009 Thanks everybody for viewing and for your kind comments. M9, 50 f/1.4, ISO 160 This is a 100% crop: The flamingo was just about 2m away. It was in a park and children were feeding them. But they move unbelievable quick and nervous. Getting them into focus was quite difficult, esp. with f/1.
JHAG Posted October 28, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2009 Astonishing. I'll show it tomorrow morning to my two little boys. Maybe they'll feed him too.
