Epson announced the EVF display supposedly equal to optical ones in quality and better than the G1/GH1 . They also hint at prismless/mirrorless camera. An RD2 to take M glass and R glass with an adapter? Maybe FF sensor from Sony with corrective microlenses?

Some ggogle translation: Required the creation of new markets.

Mr. Daniel gave certain hints during the Hessenpark-meeting that Leica is actually working on such a system (since the S2-team hasn't worked on the M9 and the R10) but we still have a long way to go. The G1 actually uses such a panel with similar technical data (800x600) and it's quality is only comparable to entry-level-SLRs - it's definitely not a HQ-viewfinder like in the R/S-system and not suitable for professional work (of course it's not only about the panel but also about the expensive optics within the viewfinder).

As I mentioned, ARRI has presented a very promising new EVF (1280x720pixels) for their new digital cameras, but this is state-of-the-art-technology and extremely expensive.

When they want the benefits of an EVIL-system, they should get things right first, not making it a lazy compromise, which is outdated 2 years later and offers the advantages of an electric system at a high price.
