Hi all! Been using this summitar for the past few months and I’m getting a ton of flaring even when using a hood. This even happens in situations where I wouldn’t expect flare. Is this a haze issue? I’ve looked in the lens using the flashlight test, but I don’t think I see any haze. The flaring is almost always in the same spot, regardless of lighting conditions.

I'm a young user, but I'd love to hear from veterans. Please Help me. Yesterday, I sold off my L-mount collections. Because I want to get a new lens. I found a cosmetic condition Summitar 5cm f2 and traded in some lenses. This Summitar 5cm f2 was engraved with ones crown. I'm sure this lens was a military lens. I looked up the serial number and literature of this lens. This Lens was Ryoal Canadian Air Force model (R.C.A.F), Lens made 1952. (same engraved IIIf) Please tell me the value of this lens. Servus,, letztes Jahr bin ich durch eine Reinvestion (Scotch) und habe den Schritt zu Leica gemacht bzw vor zwei Jahren hatte ich ja schon das R-System besessen jedoch alles wieder verkauft und auch mit in die M gespielt und verliebt. Aber da mir es keine Ruhe gelassen hat war ich dann auf Suche nach alten Schätzchen und somit haben sich drei Barnacks der IIf/IIIf/IIIC den Weg zu mir gefunden auch zwei M3 DS/SS und sind nun Abwechslungsreich mit auf meinen Touren auch im Job. Quasi als EDC😁 Die ersten Filme sind belichtet wobei bei zwei'n die längeren Zeiten nicht gepasst haben also den Verkäufer angeschrieben und ohne Probleme wurden neu justiert. Und bei der IIIf war Lichteinfall somit auch angeschrieben und wurde auch ohne Probleme seinerseits erneuert. Entschleunigt unterwegs zu sein macht schon was her und einfach der Spaßeffekt zielt schon ab.
