Took delivery of a new Elmarit-M 28mm ASPH this afternoon, so just had to run a quick test on my M9. Below is a local scene, taken at min focus distance, f8, 1/350sec, ISO 160. A quick grab shot during a gap in the traffic. The raw file has been run through LR3 with just the standard sharpening and a -15% vignette then exported as a 950pixel-wide .jpg. The second image is a 100% crop. To my eyes, very impressive resolution.

I just bought the Leica 21mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M (1991 60mm filter version from Canada) through ebay and awaiting shipping. I was into buying this lens as new (Super Elmar f/3.4) but I got a very good deal on this one including the Leica view finder so I did not hesitate to buy. But I have problems to find any reviews of this lens. There are many reviews of the same ASPH but not w/o the ASPH. Does anyone own one like this or have tested one? What is your experience and is there something special to think about?

Hi guys, I'm interested in acquiring a 90mm Elmarit-M for the M10. I will be primarily shooting handheld. I was wondering if others had found that heavier chrome-brass versions of telephoto lenses helped reduce motion blur in their images, or did it have the opposite (or negligible) effect? Any insights into the use of telephoto lenses (not necessarily 90mm) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
