Hey guys, I’m from Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have no local Leica dealer so I always need to buy remotely unfortunately. I recently bought an M10 black from a shop in Montreal (camtec photo) which I’ve used before, and when something goes wrong with my cameras I would normally mail it back to the shop and they would deal with sending it to Leica etc. I want to buy a silver M10 now but camtec does not have stock. If I buy from bh photo or somewhere else like that, am I still covered for warranty purposes? Can I deal with Leica NJ directly from Canada? I’m sure you all know that Canada does not have its own Leica repair facility so we need to use Leica USA for that. But I’m a little confused on the details. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Andrew

Man liest so einiges.

This extraordinary "Made in Canada" gem will be sold at Wetzlar Camera Auctions soon (courtesy of Jo Geier/Lars Netopil). It is most likely a prototype Summilux 35 f/1.4 for evaluation use.

Hey I just purchased a 28mm Elmarit for my M8 but it did not come with a hood. I know the filter size is bigger on this one (49mm) so I am having a bit of a problem locating a rect. hood. Does anyone have a good location to get such a item? It is this one: 11804 - 2.8/28mm Elmarit-M - 1979-1992 M49x0.75 12536 <-- This is the Product ID of the hood. - 14001 E49 Also, if someone has experience with this lens, is the hood necessary? - I purchased a 49mm leica cap on ebay so that the front element is protected (as it looks like the original lens has a rect. cap on the lens shade.

I work for an airline and we found an M9 on one of our aircraft. I'm a photographer and am trying to find it's owner as i'm sure he's upset about losing it. It's all black and still had the plastic on the bottom it's so new. The serial number starts with (O or D) D95E. If it's yours you'll have to quote the rest of the serial number to prove it and tell us what you took pictures of on your trip to Canada. The camera was found in a Canadian City but we think the people who own it spent time in Whisler and Toronto. We think the person could be from Buenos Aires as they took a few pics of a billbord advertising that city. (just a thought) If you can help us reconnect this camera with it's owner I'm sure the owner will thank you.

I found something strange (for me) in the attic of my father- in-law. It say`s Leitz on the Box and on the item itselfe it's just "Canada" and "16462" Seems to have some M series connection but does not fit to my M2 and in the other end it is a screw thread; but not M42 The onle use from this item is to extend the internal thread. But how schould that work on a camera with
