earleygallery Posted July 16, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for the comments. No PS sharpening applied, but scan is from Snappy Snaps so I guess they apply some sharpening. Even so..... This is the full frame image straight from the CD.

Mountaineer-American Posted July 17, 2007 Share #11 Posted July 17, 2007 James, lovely photograph of a lovely lady. I like the full-frame shot. These old lenses are marvelous. Do you recall what film you used? "Don't start vast projects with half-vast ideas."
earleygallery Posted July 17, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted July 17, 2007 Wow, thanks for the comments! It was just a quick snap of my Mum, to try out the new lens. I must show her this - she will also be flattered! I'd read that a good condition Summar was a fine lens but my other example is very foggy and produces the sort of results you normally associate with the lens. This one though is something else! The 5cm Elmar is much better all round lens but I like the bokeh of the Summar at f2. Film was XP2 Super.
