Please have a look at this young Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae) showing its new headdress.

Photo taken in a zoo with the head (non-dressed) of the Telyt 280/4,8 version 3 (from 1969/70) in the Televit rapid manual focus device (via the Televit-adapter 14138, Visoflex2/3, M8). Aperture was 5,6 or 5,6-8. No IR-cut. Stabilized with the Televit's shoulder stock (v.1).

The version 3 of the Telyt 280/4,8, in the Televit, can be focused from infinity to as close as below 2 meters!

For additional information on this lens in the Televit, please see here, if interested:

Stuart, Stefan, Stefan, Paul, K-H., thank you for your kind comments!

Terrific image. Cute animal. Looks like a "Halbstarker".

I have that setup as well, including shoulder stock, and need to use it more.

BTW, what ISO and shutter speed did you use.

Thanks, K-H.

K-H.,

the Emu youngster even attaqued me only seconds after I had made the shot.

The head of the Telyt 280/4,8 version 3 is the lens which I use most often with the Televit (However, in the meantime, I use the same head also with Focorapid where it also can be combined with the Apo-Extenders of the R-system while retaining infinity focus, as described elsewhere.)

I normally use ISO640 with all Telyts (as long as I can avoid ISO1250, e.g., as long I can avoid to under-expose with ISO640).

The shutter speed was 1/350 sec. (up to 1/250 sec., I usually don't worry to much about shake when using the 280 with the relatively heavy Televit).

Besides the shoulder stock, I always use the old Leitz strap 14130 (with 2 tripod srews which can freely move along the strap) for carrying and stabilizing the Televit.
