Someone somewhere sometime converted a televit to take the 400 and 560 f6.8 lensheads. I bought it with a 400 on it and it works very well. Here's a pic: I've always wanted to use these lenses but never been able to focus them easily because I am fully stretched out just to touch the slide mechanism. This mount with the focussing knob works great on a tripod with my new sony a7r. Another nice side benefit is the close focus effect I get by fully extending the lens using the slide mechanism in effect creating a built in macro tube. I have a 560mm I have rigged up a focussing rail on but I haven't been able to get it to work without just enough backlash in the knob to make focussing still very difficult. The lens is at home and I'm on the road but I am looking forward to using it when I return. Mike

A grey heron (Ardea cinerea, Graureiher) posing for me in front of a suited background (out-of-focus water surface with reflections in the evening sun light), patiently waiting for me to finish my shots. Telyt 400/5,6 in Televit, Visoflex 3, M8. Stabilized with the Televit's small shoulder stock (version 1) and a long strap. ISO 640, 1/500 s, f/5,6-8 (6,8), uncropped. Thanks for looking! Telyt2003

Please have a look at this young Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae) showing its new headdress. Photo taken in a zoo with the head (non-dressed) of the Telyt 280/4,8 version 3 (from 1969/70) in the Televit rapid manual focus device (via the Televit-adapter 14138, Visoflex2/3, M8). Aperture was 5,6 or 5,6-8. No IR-cut. Stabilized with the Televit's shoulder stock (v.1). The version 3 of the Telyt 280/4,8, in the Televit, can be focused from infinity to as close as below 2 meters! For additional information on this lens in the Televit, please see here, if interested: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/1576037-post5.html Best regards, Telyt2003
