leicamann Posted March 18, 2012 Share #10  Posted March 18, 2012 At this point I would continue to build up the collection, get everything ready and then find a darkroom that you can rent and get some decent silver gelatin prints made from these.  Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM

mhanke Posted March 23, 2012 Share #15 Â Posted March 23, 2012 Very nice postcards, love them all! Your scans are impressive. Do you use them for enlargements as well, or do you do your enlargements the traditional way, in the darkroom? Â Regards, Marcus
Guest labrador Posted March 23, 2012 Share #16  Posted March 23, 2012 Bob, Spo, Bill, Iduna, JRM and Marcus  thank You for the nice comments!  At this point I would continue to build up the collection, get everything ready and then find a darkroom that you can rent and get some decent silver gelatin prints made from these.  Very nice postcards, love them all! Your scans are impressive. Do you use them for enlargements as well, or do you do your enlargements the traditional way, in the darkroom?  I used some of the scans for a personal 2012 photo calendar as present for some friends and my family. I think up to 20x30cm (~ 8x12 Inches) the prints I ordered were acceptable.  The Rollei Superpan was developed as B&W slides using the Agfa Scala Process, thus the scans are already from a positive. All scans are done with Coolscan V default settings, except ICE (off) and grain reduction (setting 3). Post processing in PS is basically a slightly sharpening and a B&W conversion to neutralize the warm tone of the Superpan developed in the Scala Process.  Obviously, the best way to present these pics is a good projection lens like the Leica Super Colorplan. I really enjoy watching B&W slides with my Pradovit IR + Super Colorplan on Dalite Highpower Screen – provides an exceptional look and feel...  [Please excuse my poor English!]
