NordHiker Posted March 10, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Though recommendations (very high iso, fast wideangle lenses) for taking pictures of polarlights suggested not to use the M9 gear I couldn´t resist and gave it a try. The first shot was taken with the 35cron @ f2 ISO 640 for 30 seconds. Then I turned around saw the greenly glowing snow covered trees which were lite by the polar light. I used the 50 lux @1.4 ISO 640 for 120 seconds. Am pleased but should have played around more. Should take a 24 Lux along next time. Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted March 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2010 Great shots. The first is spectacular and could be published in one of the favorite astronomy magazines. The second shows the Orion constellation well. Paul

stuny Posted March 10, 2010 Share #11 Posted March 10, 2010 NH - Quite lovely, espectially #1. The star motion in #2 reduces its attraction for me. The photos you posted later -- those snow scenes aregorgeous, especially the first. Wow!
