I have a strong desire to tell you, how proud I be, to have a Leica M7 with a matching silver Tri-Elmar! Welcome, dear visitor! frc Posted December 17, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 17, 2007 Looks good, how is your first version tri-e in therms of mechanical dependability. I've got the second version, working well but it feels delicate in the hand instead of industrial like the other M lenses. BTW, a Leica M, any. is a tool to be proud of when you own one, even if you use it daily as I use mine it's again and again a pleasure to handle. kalle Posted December 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2007 ... how is your first version tri-e in therms of mechanical dependability. Some Probs were adjusted by CS. Now it works fine. Kalle

j. white Posted December 17, 2007 Share #6 Posted December 17, 2007 My original (black chrome) TE needed to have the frameline actuator mechanism adjusted after eight years. A word of advice for anyone needing to have theirs adjusted - send it directly to Solms. The staff in New Jersey lacks the expertise to deal with these lenses. -J. JBA Posted December 18, 2007 Share #7 Posted December 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Shouldn't this be titled "I Love My M7"? That chrome Tri-Elmar is quite a piece!
JJKapsberger Posted December 18, 2007 Share #8 Posted December 18, 2007 I'm a proud M7 owner. That shutter sound it has is amazing. Love the quickness of the camera: point to where you want to meter, press the shutter half way, recompose and boom--done. Impossible camera to use without getting fingerprints on the windows! underground Posted December 18, 2007 Share #9 Posted December 18, 2007 Thats funny, if I walk to close to my m7 sitting on the table I need to wipe the finder, and the top, and etc. I love My m7. I wore a hole in my lens cloth.
tgray Posted December 18, 2007 Share #10 Posted December 18, 2007 I actually really want an M7. It's everything an M6 is, plus some, and I've got an M6 right now. Soon, soon...

mongrelnomad Posted December 21, 2007 Share #15 Posted December 21, 2007 I really don't understand the lack of love for the M7... AE if you're feeling lazy or just 'need' to get the shot, and for some of us 'newbies', the shutter-speed dial's on the right way round! So I'll say it loud and proud... "I love my M7!"
