Thank you Andreas!

What a FANTASTIC response!

Thank you all for your enthusiastic participation. Overseas photographers can donate to the Disabled Photographers' Society using the links Andreas has provided above.

UK RESIDENTS:

Your money will go further if you send a good old fashioned cheque and enclose the GIFT AID form that you can download from here:

HM Revenue & Customs: Appendix B1: Model Gift Aid Declaration

I have also prepared a simple "form letter" that you can use.

Just cut and paste the following text, and amend as you wish.

Thanks all!

Regards,

Bill

My most sincere thanks to those who have donated thus far.

To those who have yet to do so, let me just say that the DPS is a charity - it receives no income other than donations such as ours. For the price of a filter, a memory card, a wrist strap, a brick of film, we can help others less fortunate than ourselves to enjoy photography. Please donate, whatever you feel you can afford.

I have written to the DPS again tonight telling them of the success of this project, and asking them to keep me appraised of how much we eventually manage to raise on their behalf.

Again, thank you, both from me, and on behalf of the DPS.

Regards,

Bill

This is indeed a noble cause. I couldn't take part in the Leica Day (unfortunately) though I did send the DPA some good quality surplus equipment soon after the recent AP article appeared, in which they asked for donated gear.

Can I reiterate my earlier post to the Forum, that they are grateful also to receive good quality surplus gear, but PLEASE NOT darkroom equipment, which they have already. If in doubt, contact Shirley Britton first.
