GeorgeDexter Posted June 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I need help identifying this Leica Reproduction outfit. It consists of: COOED universal focusing mount for 9cm Elmar FULDY focoslide LCGOO bayonet-style 5x magnifying viewfinder There is also: a geared fine focusing attachment attached to the FULDY an arm to attach the apparatus to a column, including a solid brass clamp a set of extension tubes, with a lens mount for Hektor and Summar 5cm lenses, mostly nickel, but one ring is aluminium a fitted wooden box, including the key I've looked through the Leica Accessory Guide, but can't find any pictures of the mounting arm or "microscope-style" focusing apparatus. It's possible that the mounting arm was a custom made item, but the focusing piece is marked Leitz. Any help would be appreciated. Welcome, dear visitor! zeitz Posted June 10, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 10, 2015 The arm and column attachment are custom made, and very well made at that. The geared focusing attachment is YRKOO. I can't see the Focoslide-to-YRKOO piece well enough to tell if is a Leitz part. Most of the remainder are parts for the Focoslide system; maybe the two aluminum extension tubes are not Leitz. GeorgeDexter Posted June 11, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted June 11, 2015 Thank you, zeitz. I appreciate your info. Shall I assume that the case is custom made also?
luigi bertolotti Posted June 11, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 11, 2015 Yes, I think that the wooden case is not a Leitz one... but all the outfit looks very finely made and arranged with the original Leitz part, so I think it comes from a "serious" vendor.... a pair of possible hipotesis that come to my mind are : - A device sold as an accessory set by an enlargers' manufacturer, to transform it into a repro device (the column attachment is very well made) - A kit assembled and sold by some company dedicated to some specific market niche (museums ? public agency ?) which makes regular usage of repro device together with other kinds of gear. Isn't there any inscription on the case ?
GeorgeDexter Posted June 12, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted June 12, 2015 Thank you for the info, Luigi. Sadly, there is no inscription on the case or arm.
