Yes Andy, I attributed where I read the news - but the article I figured was self attributed with link click - not sure why the eye roll?

Being the first must surely make them feel good! Since it was just approved, it is the only - but also the first :)

How can Getty approval NOT be good?

Interesting that Getty haven't confirmed this - but since this story (and the original story upon which it is based) have been out and about for a couple of weeks, the fact that they haven't denied it is also interesting.

Somewhere, there must be a full list of Getty approved cameras.

Some photographers seem to think (based on reading posts) that Getty is a soul sucker.. I know nothing about selling photography so I have no idea how valid it is.. but I guess maybe it's people not good enough to be accepted whining?

Thanks for posting this news! I try to keep an eye on different sites, but don't seem to manage to do it very well.

Seems like very good news to me, not that they'll ever come knocking on my door I don't think.

If you attend one of their wine-and-cheese get-togethers in So. California, just bring your X1 in a Leica case like the 18709. Several of the snobs there will recognize it immediately. Go anywhere else and you'll be ignored. Just a thought as to why Getty would add it to their list.
