grober Posted December 7, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 7, 2009 Thanks for posting. I'll opt for the smallest case so I can carry just the camera when traveling. About the systems case wearing the Leica logo -- hey, this surely broadcasts, "Steal me!" To each his/her own of course... -g

Only photo geeks know Leica anyway it always seems.
grober Posted December 8, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mark me down as paranoid then ... I don't deny it. (I prefer a non-descript bag made in the UK by Billingham.) -g

(I prefer a non-descript bag made in the UK by Billingham.) -g But, if you know Leica, you may know Billingham right? They kind of go hand in hand. The regular thief won't know Leica from Casio... but the photographer who knows will probably be able to spot your billingham bag as well... though, I guess you could have a Pentax K1000 in your bag instead. bradhusick Posted December 13, 2009 Share #14 Posted December 13, 2009 Nice but no provision to use an optical view finder with it. I agree totally. Why does Leica do this? I will be asking Luigi to make the right case for the X1 for me.
TEBnewyork Posted December 13, 2009 Share #15 Posted December 13, 2009 I think I would prefer just a half case but with a grip built into the leather to avoid making the camera taller with the add on grip. delnerdo Posted December 13, 2009 Share #16 Posted December 13, 2009 Does anyone know why the (US) Leica web site does not depict the X1 accessories?
Lewis Posted December 23, 2009 Share #17 Posted December 23, 2009 Would be great if Luigi makes a case for these similar to the M system one's - they are both stylish and practical. What's the point of having a P&S that is a fiddle to remove from a case every time you want to snap a photo!?
