Kam24 Posted April 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I had a front page, 4 column photo in the NY Times today. it was done with the Leica M9. I suspect this is the first time an M9 photo has landed on the front. I've been using the camera about six months and love it. glenerrolrd Posted April 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 18, 2010 You can see the image a little better by going to the NYT home page and looking at the article on european flight cancelations. This photograph has exceptional depth when you see it larger. Many interrelated moments . I can see why the NYT picked it . The photographer is Michael Kamber . Congratulations Michael....not everyday you can get page one of the NYT.

rob_w Posted April 19, 2010 Share #10 Posted April 19, 2010 Hi Mike Great photo. As one who was trapped in the midst of chaos (8 hours in a queue at Amsterdam Central, moving at glacial pace ...) your picture captures the mixture of resignation, determination and exhaustion pretty well. Pleased to see you love the M9 and have stuck with Leica. I remember you wrote a pretty hard-hitting review of the M8 back in 2008, which left me with the impression you would be moving on to another brand. Welcome to the forum. I look forward to seeing more contributions when you get the chance. Cheers Robert ----------
zlatkob Posted April 19, 2010 Share #11 Posted April 19, 2010 Well done and congratulations! The photo really captures the feeling of being there and waiting. I appreciated the review of the M8 and think that the M9 is a better camera thanks to such honest reviews of the M8.
