dkCambridgeshire Posted April 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) WestLicht Photographica Auction ... listed for sale on May 11th; only 17 of the '0' series are known to survive; it has the Anastigmat lens. I am wondering if the €estimate is too high given the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake? dunk
Advertisement Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here Leica '0' Series No. 107, Westlicht Auction , May 11th. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted April 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2011 The estimate is stellar... I doubt strongly it can reach such altitudes... but is a 0 !!! And (probably) with a well documented originality expertise... imho, the opening bid is even not obscene... I bet 10 Euros it will go sold. For my taste (FAR from the idea of bidding ... ) the MP2 is the most exciting of the shown bodies... and... they try again with the magic atraction of s/n... (M3 700.500... fine !!). And... I have a rather good Contarex set... but don't love mirror lenses, luckily...

dkCambridgeshire Posted April 7, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) you may have a look at http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-...rie-107-a.html Westlicht sold it alreday once in the past, at that time at 336.000 EUR I just read the older posts; very interesting indeed. Here is the same camera in the Westlicht Auction No. 12 http://www.westlicht-auction.com/index.php?id=94167&acat=94167&_ssl=off I am reading the forthcoming May auction description again. dunk Edited April 7, 2011 by dkpeterborough additional information
dkCambridgeshire Posted April 7, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted April 7, 2011 The 'taster' for the forthcoming auction does not show the full description of the camera as in previous Auction No. 12. According to the previous description, the camera has been restored eg lens, body covering and tubular finder added. dunk
