Pecole Posted November 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) In 1932, Leitz introduced the NATRA negative viewer which featured a magnifier and a punch to identify specific negatives. As from 1936, the same viewer was offered with handle under the code NAKUL, and it was possible to facilitate the viewing with the addition of a NAMAS slide-on mount with opal glass. After the war (1951), the viewer was available without arm nor punch under code NOOBU.

Michael Hiles Posted November 26, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2010 It always amazes me that technical/mechanical things like this have a kind of beauty.
Michael Geschlecht Posted November 26, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 26, 2010 Hello Michael, When people understand a concept or a theory they are trying to translate into a physical reality & are able to combine that with an ability to mechanically produce it they can sometimes create a physical reality w/o the ancillary clutter of others. Beauty can sometimes be defined as presence in a form where the object explains itself in a clear direct manner. Nothing else. Nice photos Pierre. Best Regards, Michael
