Must be 1.33x IMO, you would be one of the fewest trusted reviewers out there, once you approve it, then I'll go for it.

Jaap, would you still buy if it turns out to be an M8.3?
andybarton Posted August 7, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 7, 2009 Interesting to see how few people have picked up on this thread...
dcoombs Posted August 7, 2009 Share #9 Posted August 7, 2009 Interesting to see how few people have picked up on this thread... Well, to be honest Jaap didn't say much, and there was no leading title. Or maybe the M9 rumour-mongers are resting at the moment... andybarton Posted August 7, 2009 Share #10 Posted August 7, 2009 I think it's the fact that M9 rumourmongers wouldn't venture this far beyond a certain sub-section
martinis Posted August 7, 2009 Share #11 Posted August 7, 2009 Wait ftor all the M8s to suddenly start becoming hard to come by new ,then you know the M9 is coming .Who will want an M8 if the M9 is full frame?(Unless it costs SUBSTANTIALLY more)
usayit Posted August 7, 2009 Share #12 Posted August 7, 2009 i did notice that my local camera dealer has 3 demo M8 for sale on their used list....
Overgaard Posted August 8, 2009 Share #13 Posted August 8, 2009 Also noticed an odd silence when I asked to test an M8.2 and 21/1.4 and told the dealer I probably wouldn't do anything before we knew about the M9. I would have expected them to answer. And that they went quiet told me it's very probable that it will be happening.
jaapv Posted August 8, 2009 Author Share #14 Posted August 8, 2009 Jaap, would you still buy if it turns out to be an M8.3? Depends on the specifications, Mark.
Jeff S Posted August 8, 2009 Share #15 Posted August 8, 2009 Message from my dealer regarding the M9: "stock will be available shortly after the announcement" . Well, is that shortly after the camera announcement (9/9?), or shortly after the announcement that stock is forthcoming? Jeff

Alberti Posted August 8, 2009 Share #18 Posted August 8, 2009 Jaap, would you still buy if it turns out to be an M8.3? Mark, if I am correct, looking at 'the new thing' as M9 makes it impossible to look at it as an M8.3. But nevertheless, Schrödinger is full of grace, and lets you be happy doing so! alberti
marknorton Posted August 9, 2009 Share #19 Posted August 9, 2009 I was a bit surprised when I looked to see how much I've spent on Leica stuff + upgrades this year. Talk about irrational exuberance... I'm certainly relying therefore on Leica's view of timescales being as optimistic as ever and hoping Leica's definition of "shortly" will be as out of touch with reality as "the S2 will be available in the summer of 2009", "the Noctilux will be available in February 2009", and so on. Marty Posted August 9, 2009 Share #20 Posted August 9, 2009 But the M9 is the last camera you will need for a while so that makes it all worthwhile
