However, whilst recently cleaning the lens I noticed that there appears to be a speck of dust attached to the inside of the lens. I've tried gently tapping on the lens to see if it would move..but no joy. Is it possible for dirt to have got inside..and if so..how do I get rid of it? leica dream Posted October 8, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2009 As the lens is fixed, unless the dust was inside when the unit was made I cannot see how dust can get inside. Are you sure it is actually inside the lens and not just between any UV filter you may have screwed on to the front of the lens. Like you, I have a V-Lux with which I am totally happy. earleygallery Posted October 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2009 Dust does indeed work its way inside lenses, especially those with zooming actions. Basically, forget it. It's not going to make any difference to the photos whatsoever. It's more annoying when you get a speck of dust on the sensor of a fixed lens camera!
