Mauribix Posted October 6, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) enjoy. P.S. asking what car is this, then it would be too easy. Now I want to know, since you're an expert... the weight of the driver given the inclination of the car!
Advertisement Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Hi Mauribix, Take a look here for Pete. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted October 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2009 Maurizio - Gorgeous in subject and photo. Do you know if it is an original Speedster, or a newer replicar?
vdb Posted October 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 7, 2009 Beautiful car and image.
Mauribix Posted October 7, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted October 7, 2009 Thank you guys. Stuart, for what I know, that should be original, even if actually I can't remember if it had the gold rear plate assigned by ASI who could have certified the fact. I have to look for other pictures, hoping o have one from the rear...
elansprint72 Posted October 7, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 7, 2009 Thanks! The pre-911 cars are my favourites.
stuny Posted October 7, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 7, 2009 Over here we used to refer to the lovely Speedster as an inverted bathtub.
ijporter Posted October 9, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm sure Pete would be able to tell you the precise weight of the (absent) driver, but you'd need to let him know how much fuel it's carrying and whether the window-washer bottle was full or otherwise! Was there a head-wind or a tail-wind? The downforce may make a difference of a micron or so, which is absolutely vital. Ian
storybrown Posted October 9, 2009 Share #8 Posted October 9, 2009 mauribix - where is this taken?
azzo Posted October 9, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 9, 2009 Lovely car and capture Maurizio.
elansprint72 Posted October 9, 2009 Share #10 Posted October 9, 2009 On reflection; I think it is a Chesil. The windscreen wipers do not look like the sort of thing that a real Speedster owner would fit.
Mauribix Posted October 9, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted October 9, 2009 Thank you guys! BTW this is taken in Turin (my town)... the fact is that the square is prohibited to traffic... but as you know, in Italy someone, sometimes, differs! Anyway this was good to me, as I could take that shot without traffic behind! Pete, I'm glad you enjoyed!
ijporter Posted October 10, 2009 Share #12 Posted October 10, 2009 I'm sorry to disagree (even most gently) with Pete, but don't the Chesils have their own bonnet badge in place of the Porsche one? - this car has the Porsche badge. However, I stand to be corrected. BTW, I like the way the pavers can be seen theough the driver's side brake air vent - those vents are not just for show!
