Fotomiguel Posted October 6, 2009 Share #21 Posted October 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I remember when we started with the M8. What a mess! Now everybody seems to be really happy with the M9. I will be happy when I get my M9.

jonoslack Posted October 6, 2009 Share #22 Posted October 6, 2009 Yip I'm extremely happy . . . . I'd like a couple of firmware tweaks, but otherwise it's fab
alexc Posted October 6, 2009 Share #23 Posted October 6, 2009 Extremely happy, I like fast and wide lenses. Now I use my new noctilux as a regular everyday lens in addition to 35/1.4. Wate and 21/1.4 are much more fun to us as well. The only wrinkle for me is lack of top LCD. May be it is just me.

stevem7 Posted October 6, 2009 Share #28 Posted October 6, 2009 Unhappy. Only because it was sent USPS Express mail to me yesterday and I was informed it will be a day late, so I will not have it until tomorrow! Arg!
noah_addis Posted October 6, 2009 Share #29 Posted October 6, 2009 I'm unhappy too, but only because I've already sold my M8s and my M9's have yet to arrive!

ModernMan Posted October 6, 2009 Share #31 Posted October 6, 2009 Delighted. Although, rangefinder needed some adjustment. My 35 lux fits! (apparently some require modification to fit the M8/M9). Visoflex III works great too.

What more can you ask for?

LLT Posted October 7, 2009 Share #37 Posted October 7, 2009 Apparently my happy day is going to be 12 Oct?! If anyone from Leica is reading this thread, please send a few downunder! I know the market in Australia is small but a few to Melbourne would be just fabulous!

carstenw Posted October 8, 2009 Share #40 Posted October 8, 2009 The difference is in the file size... writing to 8GB Sandisk Exteme III is good and I've never had the camera freeze.. Post process imposes more of a strain on computing resources - but so do images from my 5D Mk2. Planning to shift to Windows 7 64bit systems in a bit - REALLY impressed when I tried Lightroom with the Beta - but too much of a hassle / expense to shift from XP for the moment... Chris, I cannot recommend Win7-64 yet; too many rough edges. I am using it at work (I program) and I have it for dual-boot on my MacBook Pro. The program I installed it for doesn't work right (at home), and at work I have had no end to the weirdness. There are a lot of problems with Visual Studio, for example, but the Windows Explorer also restarts quite often, and there are other problems. Rebooting and shutdown times are insane. I would wait at least for Service Pack 1, maybe even 2. Snow Leopard has also been flaky, btw, so I recommend waiting all around
