Philipp, hope you don't mind. I see this as a very soft, glowing reflection and added contrast and very slight pink toning. Just my view of this marvelous image you captured.

Very cool.. I would personally "develop" this idea much further and "run withthe idea" say..300 or 400 shots and then pick the "best of"..and post them..if you don't, I will because I think your onto something :)

Thank you very much for posting your version here. I am much bemused to see that your design decision took the opposite direction from mine. I love the result very much. Unfortunately, the raw material is not quite up to the standard your version would demand.

Thank you for your nice comments. If you want to develop this idea any further, please do so and let us see your results. I have to confess that the picture which I posted here was to salvage an otherwise quite rotten shot. The bloody bird had walked a few steps too far such that its head was mostly hidden behind some foliage by the time I had released the shutter. Some birds simply won't cooperate. :D
