Freddif Posted October 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm trying to set up my camera so I can change the ISO settings quickly. The manual doesn't seem to help, I've tried to set it up using the "Fn" button and think I did it once, but now I can't get it to work. I would be so appreciative of any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Freddi Freddi.fredrickson@gmail.com

farnz Posted October 2, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2009 Welcome to the forum, Freddi! To set it up: 1. Turn on the menu by pressing the Menu key in the middle of the arrow buttons 2. Press the left arrow once to get to the top of the Rec menu 3. Press the down arrow once to get to the top of the Setup Menu (shown to the left of the screen with the little spanner icon) 4. Press the right arrow once to get to the top entry in the Setup Menu 5. Press the down arrow 6 times to get to the "Fn Button Set" line 6. Press the right arrow once to get to the top entry in the Fn Button Set sub-menu 7. Press the down arrow twice to get to the Sensitivity setting 8. Press the Menu button to select Sensitivity for the Fn button and the Menu line will show an ISO icon at the right hand side.. You can only change the ISO speed using the Fn button when in "S" or "M" mode. Pete.

farnz Posted October 2, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 2, 2009 "P" and "A" modes work as well. Hmm .. interesting ... I just tried it again on my DL4 in P and A modes and it still didn't work on them so I started to look for a reason. I found that when I disable IntelligentISO I can change ISO with the Fn button in both modes. I have no idea how IntISO got turned on because I've never knowingly used it. It must have happened accidentally when I was changing settings in the quick mode using the joystick. ... an 'undocumented feature' perhaps? Pete. Freddif Posted October 4, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted October 4, 2009 Thanks for the help, I got it to work in both P, S, M and A modes. Before that I had figured out how to get to ISO settings mode by pushing down on the Joystick and moving over to ISO. Using the Fn switch is much easier.
