Remember that even cactii/ succulents when the weather gets cool you should taper off the water, as a rule I water only enough during my "drought" to keep it from looking too shrively....but be very strict about water. In March or April when it starts showing some new sprouts I resume the watering and when it gets sufficiently warm or even hot, only then I regularly water, once a week.
