Rolo Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted November 21, 2006 The print is a bitch to make on silver paper. Much easier with digital for the screen. There's a lot of burning and dodging on the grass in the foreground which, on the neg, is almost monotone. Scanning B&W isn't a problem except that the file needs cleaning up because digital ICE can't be used. With 35mm, I scan at highest resolution, 4000 ppi for colour, whereas for larger formats I'll settle for a 160 mb file at 16 bit rather than going for a 400 mb file.
