jaapv Posted September 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) The M9 has a "T" function. Set to selftimer, set to "B", activate the selftimer, the shutter will open and stay open until the release is tapped again.

Colemanbear Posted September 22, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 22, 2009 Hoi Jaap, my M8 has that function as well ... :D:D Kind regards. Wait! What! It does what??!! Okay, thanks to the geniuses on this forum I now have an extra function on my M8 (a year later:-) Downside, I may have to give camera away to a more deserving chap/chapess on account of being such a dunce Cheers fellas, Ivan
Shootist Posted September 22, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 22, 2009 Hoi Jaap, my M8 has that function as well ... :D:D Kind regards. Yes but to bad we don't have the Zero Seconds option for the selftimer. If we did we would have the Soft release feature as well because the ST feature works with just a slight press of the shutter release. But then it would only be good in manual mode because the meter needs some time to wake and get the right reading in A mode. But that would be OK with me. But that would be OK with me. And me. I argued for that some time ago - underneath my gritty shutter release is just the sweetest electronic shutter trip; I'd love to access it. I've posed the question of whether there is any reason that the 'soft release' function could not be awarded the M8, but unfortunately didn't get a reply. ............... It would be nice on the M8! ................ Chris
