azzo Posted September 21, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) Nice shots. The second looks like a Spitfire but what do I know. Pete (elansprint72) would love these. Edited September 21, 2009 by azzo forgot the 72 in Pete's username :)
elansprint72 Posted September 21, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 21, 2009 Nice shots. The second looks like a Spitfire but what do I know. Pete (elansprint72) would love these. Correct! I do. Lots of Spitfires were flown in WW2 by Polish pilots, they had their own squadrons, if you can tell me the number of this one I'll be able to tell you its history. Cadtata Posted September 21, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Ahoj, I love this too Thank's for loking & comments This is Spitfire V from IWM Duxford, pointed like Polish Fighter from 1942, RF - code mark "Kościuszkowski" 303 Polish Squadron, D - kpt. Jan Zumbach's aircraft. I think, it's posible to read regiser number - AB 516 (above), we can see oryginally Spitfire with pilot, numbers of his victories, and .. elansprint72 Posted September 21, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 21, 2009 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - Spitfire AB910 (Mk Vb) This tells you more than my book does! Incidentally there was no AB516, there are lots of gaps in the numbering and that is one of them.
