docmark Posted September 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a few questions. Is anybody using this combination? I may have an opportunity to get a new Noctilux to use with my M8.2. Or, is this too "rarefied" a lens, and should I just upgrade to an M9 and keep my current lenses (24, 35 & 50 Summilux, 75 Summarit, 90 Summicron)? Or, stick with the M8.2? Advertisement Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Hi docmark, Take a look here M8.2 & New Noctilux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wilfredo Posted September 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2009 In this instance I would upgrade, but I'm sure I don't have the cash you do. I can't do either. Honestly, I would leave well enough alone unless you are not satisfied with what you have. The 50m Summilux is as good as it gets.
Jamie Roberts Posted September 13, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2009 It depends. If you can afford it, and like the look of full-frame, then the M9 is what you want. I have to say there have been some Nocti shots (by "Jackal" IIRC) that look just awesome on the M9. The 50 Lux is as good as it gets, as Wilfredo says, but the old Nocti at f1.0 is still "better" in different ways--especially full frame (that's only "part framed' with the original M8). earleygallery Posted September 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 13, 2009 You simply must buy and M9 and the Noctilux. Keep the M8.2 as a back up body.
