rosuna Posted September 4, 2009 Share #48 Posted September 4, 2009 I will feel guilty... I will sell all my Leica equipment and buy Canon... ... but, if the M9 (= FF M camera) is not presented, then, it will be necessary a serious analysis on how internet creates and multiplies rumors. Now is the M9 but next time it can be the UFOs, or something else. You can create panic or excitement from nothing. This type of marketing can be useful for a company, but look at the situation for Leica at this moment. If the M9 is presented, they will be seen as very smart marketing guys, etc.; but if the M9 is not presented... people will be angry, furious against Leica, and sales of the M8 will suffer until next year (people was almost "touching" the M9, isn't?). This is a dangerous game, not for me, but for Leica. This is the ONLY convincing argument in favor of a M9 next Wednesday. If the M9 is not ready yet Leica should have stopped all this mess days ago, just for selfprotection.

Guest BigSplash Posted September 4, 2009 Share #54 Posted September 4, 2009 Hi Luigi, No it is very close to Bastille and the new Opera. It is Bd Beaumarchais. very lively at night! Artz, I agree, it understates "the body evereybody is waiting for wich means the FF. Did anybody read the thread about the japanese leica site? We already know almost everything. All the best, Jean-Luc Correct...for those who do not know this street it is unique I believe in the world. I can think of many great Leica shops but nowhere with so many shops dedicated to high end photography. Get a cab to the Bastille and then walk this wide long street and it has one camera shop after another specialising in every make and mainly professional level cameras, plus secondhand. This is a street where you will find several Leica dealers and the Boutique dedicated exclusively to Leica. In the street you will also see Hassleblad specialists with every lens imaginable and mamiya, Bronica plus high end canon and Nikon of course. Prices however are on the high side in my opinion, perhaps due to French VAT. Near the Leica shop (on the other side of the road) you will find a superb restaurant "Bistro" style with fresh oysters ...good prices, rustic atmosphere, excellent food to complete a great day out! lct Posted September 4, 2009 Author Share #55 Posted September 4, 2009 Good wine has to be served alone... OK so you'll send a dozen bottles of Sangria to the only LUF member having 2,952 posts then.
