Wow, thanks so much for the kind words on my gallery! BUT I do have to say that most of the more recent images there do not have much PP at all. These days I do all of the PP in the RAW conversion in either C1 or ACR. Adjust color, saturation, maybe add some vignette. Then I resize and selective sharpen for web.

Anyway, I agree. The M8 is a fabulous camera and I love it more than any camera I have ever used or owned!

Thanks again!

Steve

Don't be coy, Steve ;) You are simply a good photographer using excellent gear :) Or the other way around.;) Actually this forum is quite amazing. Just about every member that lists a website is a first class photographer.

That is why I do not list a website...:o

Anyways OP, the M8 is a fantastic camera within its own capability. You will have fun learning how to get the best out of it. To me, this learning curve is fun part of hobby.

cheers

Without overemphasizing the hardware aspect, I rented an M8 to compare to what I was getting out of my M6es/Coolscan V and my D300 with Nikon "pro" lenses. The image quality of the M8 files is way beyond anything that the raw numbers would suggest. They are like jewels and usually need far, far less PP.
